It's but a small price to pay to see the green grass grow
Only through such lessons learned can we hope to know
The wisdom pain bestows, the secrets of life's ebb & flow

Clouds will gather, chasing light away, leaving all but cold and gray
I won't surrender, I'll weather it till it wanes, so let it rain

Pounding hard and fast upon the window pane, so that at once, all hope and joys restrained, upon us all some rain must fall, storms will rage, the fates will call

Clouds will gather, cold winds will blow, its time has come, this I know
As in the Yin & the Yang, there's never pleasure without pain, so let it rain
